The gNodeB transceiver made by Viettel includes both software and hardware and was developed in 6 months.
Last April, Viettel used a foreign-made device to make a call via the 5G network. Other providers of 5G devices are Ericsson, Nokia, Huawei, Samsung, and ZTE. Viettel said it will start commercializing the devices by June this year and mass production a year later.
